Winter can be spectacular!

It's been a fun winter here as many of the local rivers have been hot with good fish catching. The fish are particularly vulnerable because they all school up in deep wintering holes. I have been able to locate some of these schools of fish (mostly smallmouth) and load the boat. Problem is wind and rain can mess up the river bite pretty easily. Muddy boat ramps can be a problem too. It's worth it though, the guy I had in my boat on Sunday could not believe how many we were catching. I couldn't either, it was one of those magically days we dream about.
